| This morning, Barlow Fire Department assisted the Gettysburg Fire Department’s Fire Prevention Officer at Lincoln Elementary School in Gettysburg Borough. While on the way, Barlow units were alerted to a commercial fire alarm on Baltimore Street. Rescue Engine 22 responded with three personnel. After clearing the alarm, the crew proceeded to the school as planned.
During the event, several Lincoln Elementary teachers volunteered to put on turnout gear to help show students that firefighters are there to help and not someone to fear, even when fully equipped. Barlow Fire Department extends appreciation to Chief Hubbard, Lt. Ahlers, and Firefighter Orleski, along with Loudon County Fire Rescue members Firefighter Chris Waybright and Firefighter Ashley Kramer, for their assistance this morning. |
